The BLAST® Bandage is intended to facilitate the prompt and effective packing of burns, big pattern wounds, and traumatic amputations. It does this with the least amount of materials and work.
The BLAST® Bandage has a 20" x 20" treatment surface and can be compressed to a size similar to a 4" combat bandage. Its large, non-adherent wound pad is simple to wrap over limbs and bind firmly with the elastic wrap that is attached. Most casualties' backs or chests are adequately covered by this bandage, which offers a sterile protective covering for burns or shrapnel wounds.
An additional removable occlusive layer that covers a 19" x 19" area is included with the BLAST® Bandage. Additionally, this layer can be used to cover the contents of the abdomen, reducing the loss of heat and moisture.
